Has anyone purchased/tried on multiway bridesmaid dresses?

I would ideally like ones with a tulle overlay but the colours seem more limited.

Two birds, Victoria Lou Bridal, Coast and Kelsey Rose all look lovely.

What did you go for, and why?

Ghost Town

by Pooba @ Off Topic Posts

Some may remember me - got married earlier this year and stopped logging on a few months back. Decided to pop back and check out what's been happening and answer is: not a lot!

I know topics were starting to wane by the time I left the scene, but I find it so sad just how quiet the forum has become - not just OT, but even WP is pretty barren.

I've been looking back at the conversations and threads I was involved in and it almost brings tears to my eyes (okay, over-exaggerating a little) how helpful and friendly and brilliant the discussions were and it does make me upset that things are much less active nowadays.

There's no real point to this topic and no doubt I'll slink off with my tail between my legs once I log out shortly, but yeah, it's just made me #totesemoshe.

Merry Christmas, everyone. Love to all!

Village Hall Wedding

by Chloe2345 @ wedding planning discussion forums

We're getting married next May, ceremony at the register office, then on to a village hall for the reception. We've got loads of ideas for decorating and things like that but I'm really concerned because the hall doesn't have an outside area. So we'll all arrive about 4/4.30, and have to go straight inside? Stupid rain when we viewed the place meant I didn't even consider it, but there's a chance that we might have a beautiful sunny day (don't laugh, I know it's England!!) and I'll have to nudge all the guests inside.

There's a pub next door but I'm not sure that's what I'm after, do you think the guests will mind? Or am I doing this all wrong?

Thank you!

Wedding dress arrival date has been pushed back by several months.

by Squemmy @ wedding planning discussion forums

Heya!

Just looking for some advice on this one, and to find out if anyone else has had a similar experience.

I ordered my wedding dress six months ago and paid a 50% deposit around the £2000 mark (perhaps a little pricey!) At the time of ordering I was informed the dress would take six to eight months to arrive, so I have been expecting a call fairly soon to say it is here. I also paid for an alteration package at the time that stipulates I must have my fittings at off peak times.

I rang them today to ask about ordering veils and they mentioned that my dress will not be arriving until 15 March 2018, eight weeks exactly before my wedding (and almost exactly a year since I ordered it!) I expressed that I was a little shocked, but didn't get into it as was so taken aback. I am going in next week to try veils, and thinking I should take it up with them then. Eight weeks seems very tight if something goes wrong, and I had expressed when ordering that my work schedule can be very intense so I may need to do my first fitting more towards the 10 week mark than eight.

I have also had some concerns that something has gone wrong somewhere as there have been a few red flags. I ordered a swatch when I ordered my dress and had to chase quite a few times several months later when it had not arrived. I also got a call a few weeks ago to say my veil had arrived, when I said I hadn't ordered one yet they realised they had two brides with the same name and had rung the wrong one. Now my dress is not arriving until the last minute when I ordered it over a year in advance, my spidey senses are tingling!

Has anyone ever experienced something like this? Would others also be a little worried?

Hi all,

Just need some advice really! Are you ready?

My partner and I have been together three years. Recently he was sent an invitation for his friends wedding. On the invite, only his name was on it. The bride and I bumped into each other at the supermarket (meeting for first time) and she invited me to the reception. I assumed that I wasn't going to the church but would be joining my partner at the reception thereafter with him and his friends. I spoke with the bride to see what time to attend the reception and I'm actually only invited to the night do. In the evening at 8pm. By the time I get there - my boyfriend and everyone else will be drunk and I will be walking in not knowing almost anyone....I feel that this is rude considering my boyfriend and I have lived together now nearly two years!!i bought a new outfit, camera and booked in at salon!!! I feel ther is no point now! Am I wrong for being a bit annoyed?

Major panic - bridesmaids appointment coming up

by Mizzi1904 @ wedding planning discussion forums

In 2 weeks time I have finally managed to get all 4 bridesmaids together and we are going shopping for their dresses. Originally scouting we found a dress in Nottingham that we liked at the time. Unfortunately I have changed my mind and am not sure anymore, especially as they only had 2 styles in the shop and it's 1hr 40 mins drive! A long way to go if they now don't sell it or I don't like it (found it 5 months ago) Thing is, the dress was £85 each, a good price, but we would have another trip to pick them up, so it's a very long way overall.

I've done more research and found Davids Bridal (at Birmingham, 2 hours drive) who told me their dresses start at £80, but I called them again this morning as I couldn't find any for that price on their website. They have now said they start at £140+!!!

Now where do we go?? I can't move the meeting date as one person is travelling from Devon, another has booked the day off work, and we are supposed to be going shopping and having a fun girly outing!

Any ideas would be fantastic, any shops even better! I am half way between Lincoln and Peterborough in Lincolnshire.

This kept me awake last night! I hate messing people around and I can't cancel it now! Besides we still need dresses.

Please help - Unasking a bridesmaid

by RomanticPinkBridesmaid923 @ Off Topic Posts

Hi everyone

So having a huge problem with one of my bridesmaids. It's been eating me up to the point of anxiety. I need to un-ask one of my bridesmaids. These are my reasons and just want to know if i'm being unreasonable so please be honest.

This bridesmaid has been a friend of mine for 5 years, we went to university together - my other bridesmaids are lifelong friends. I'm a bridesmaid for this girl as well and she asked me 2 years ago, her wedding is in 2 weeks time. At the time I was thrilled but over the 2 years the bills have wracked up for her wedding and as it stands the bride has paid for NOTHING.

We have paid for our own shoes (which have to be a certain colour), dress (which we were handed and had no say in although they were only £50), hair and make up, overnight wedding accommodation and travel, hen weekend and obviously paid for the bride. Additionally I hosted the bride and her family for 2 days at home where I cooked breakfast and dinner each evening.

So the bride has paid for NOTHING for her bridesmaids and this has upset me hugely. I have never heard of any bride doing this let alone a best friend. I think its outrageous. We are paying to be her bridesmaids.

We are constantly being asked for money month after month, again just 2 weeks before the wedding.

i now don't want to have her as my bridesmaid any more but don't want to ruin the friendship. I know it will have an impact but to be honest with the way she's treated us (her own bridesmaids) i'm not overly concerned.

Am I within my rights to say I can't have her anymore and if so I had planned to use the excuse that I want to have my oldest school friends and its nothing personal etc.

Any advice welcome as this is tearing me up. Thanks so much. :)

His Family Are Nightmares!!

by HappyYellowCakes807 @ Off Topic Posts

Okay, so I don't know if this is the correct area or not, but I definitely need some advice or at the very least, unbiased opinions.

It's an extremely long story, so I won't go in to details unless you want to know everything. I'll give you the basics:

Been with SO for nearly 3 1/2 years. When we first met, his mother was completely obsessed with his ex girlfriend and would say things like "she's the daughter I never had" (she had a baby girl who suffered cot death). His sister in law is still best friends with her, and would text him saying that I'm not his ex-girlfriend and that we had nothing in common etc. So right from the start, I felt alienated. I wasn't a girly girl like she was and wasn't interested in watching Geordie Shore or TOWIE or anything like that. I did my best to ignore everything, even though I would walk in to his mother's house and see photos of him and his ex still plastered on the wall, and she brought the ex up in nearly every conversation.

I then fell pregnant, and the mother in law became very very obsessed and nosey. She was telling us what to name her, saying she wanted her every Friday and even moved down the street from us. Now, my little girl was born at 28 weeks gestation, and she was in the neonatal care unit for 7 weeks. Throughout this time, I was being treated for sepsis and was obviously extremely unwell, and me and my fiance weren't concentrating on anything except my daughter and myself getting better. The reason for her prematurity was my house had been covered in mould that the agency refused to deal with. (but that's another story). Now, when the mother in law came up to the hospital, she would look at all the other premature babies and comment on how beautiful they are and she wouldn't actually look at my daughter because she was too busy with everyone else's babies. The nurse actually had to tell her to stop because even if the parents weren't there, she would look at the babies in the incubator and the nurse said it's a violation of privacy. She would say things to the nurses like "she didn't even want kids a couple of months ago" which makes me sound absolutely awful. I'd said, way before I ever fell pregnant, that I wasn't that bothered about having kids. Throughout the 7 weeks, she came up about four times. So these little things really started to irritate me.

Whilst she was in the incubator, we moved in to my mum and dad's house, because we didn't have the money to move somewhere else, and I would need sufficient care when my partner returned to work. I think this is where the jealousy kicked in. Now, his father is an alcoholic abusive waste of space who beat the mother up and his children. She told her daughter to go f*ck herself when given the choice between her kids or him. So while ever he was at the house, we said our daughter wasn't going there. She was welcome to take her to the park (when she was a few months older) or take her shopping or whatever, but I didn't want my daughter around that man. His mother then started slagging my family off even though they hadn't done a thing wrong, and I'm the type of person who can't let things go. So I then refused to put an effort in with her. She refused to apologise, and blamed everything on everyone else, rather than herself.

Anyway, time goes on and she still hasn't apologised so we didn't really talk whenever she came around. I was diagnosed with cholecystitis and gallstones, as well as an issue with my heart, so I'd been hospitalised a few times. I fell pregnant again a few months after all this too. We found out that his mother had been slagging me off to his ex girlfriend saying that she wishes it was her that had got pregnant, that it was her kids not mine, that I'm a disrespectful *** and I'm rude etc. This was a massive blow to me, because it was one thing slagging me off and another to his ex who I already knew she was obsessed with.

Around 12 arguments have happened in total, so there is too much to go in to. Things like I shouldn't have took my daughter to go dress shopping for my brothers wedding because it was HER day to have her, I posted a status on Facebook about having a headache and that was apparently taking the p*ss out of her because she had a headache (didn't even have her added at this point), she leaves both of my daughters in the car on their own so she can run in to the petrol shop, she keeps them up until 11pm,12am which then throws off their entire schedule when I get them back. The latest thing is she has apparently taken some tablets and overdosed. She went to hospital and came out the next day. I find this a little strange because surely they would do something like a suicide watch? Anyway, both of his brothers have now got involved slagging me off and blaming my fiance for everything. I've been threatened by his dad on Facebook, her sister who I've never even met, has slated me on Facebook too. At the moment, it feels like everyone is against us, even though we've done nothing wrong but want to protect our daughters.

I've deleted all his family on my Facebook, changed my number and I don't speak to any of them now.

The whole point of this post is...do I invite them to the wedding? I mean, I don't think he even wants to, but I don't think I could sit there with his mother at the top table, looking in to the eyes of all these people who have called me every name under the sun. Do they deserve to be there?

Sorry for the long post!

how can I include an absent/ill family member?

by LuxuriousYellowDiamonds486 @ wedding planning discussion forums

I am getting married in under 2 weeks...my grandmother has recently been taken ill and isn't looking likely that she'll be able to attend. I'm devastated and so is she. There have been many tears shed from her, my mother and me. My dad thinks she should come and it wouldn't be right without her. My mum thinks she should be in care for the few days around the wedding so that my parents can both be available to support me rather than spend the whole time worrying about her and caring fir her.

Im thinking up ways to include her even if she really isn't well enough to attend, but it's so late in the day I'm struggling. Even trying to find a care home near the venue so we can visit her during the day or attempt to bring her up for the ceremony! I've approached the florist about sending her a bouquet of my bridal flowers so she knows I'm thinking of her. Caterers and venue are being very understanding too.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Small ceremony then large reception

by RomanticGoldDiamonds981 @ wedding planning discussion forums

So myself and my partner have just started the wedding planning!

We have both agreed that we would like a small ceremony - this will already have around 30 people attending as we both have a lot of immediate family!

we would then like to have a large reception on the same day and at the same location for around 150 guests. Is this a good thing to do?

i have been reading various forums online and this way seems to be frowned upon slightly.

We are doing it like this as we feel it's more important for our family to share the intimate ceremony bit then have a large piss up basically with our friend!

any outside input would be much appreciated though :)

Father of my son delaying engagement

by LuxuriousOrangeCars911 @ Off Topic Posts

I'm not sure where to posts this, but here seems legit.

My partner ofor close to 3 years, and father of my 10 month old son was going to propose to me 8 months into our relationship. He bought a ring and everything. He backed out at the last minute, not because he didn't want to marry me, but because he wanted to wait for our relationship to completely get through the honeymoon phase. I  respect that. He said a proposal would be done at some point in the near future. We however decided to have a child first due to health complications on my end. I'd like to disclaim that we have a very healthy relationship. When we met we knew each other were the one. He wants to share a grave with me when we die... so I know he sees me as his only.

With a child in the mix, it has delayed any wedding and engagement plans as we're so caught up in our current affairs. However over our sons first year I have bought up the getting engaged/marriage topic on occasion. He has been respondingby saying things like:

1.don't want to exhaust all of our experiences as a couple together in the first few years of our relationship.

2.My friends with longterm girlfriends and families of their own aren't married - I want to wait for them to make the first move. I kind of find these series of events (babies, weddings, buying property) a bit cheesy.

3. I'll do it soon, like maybe in 3 or 6 months time. I won't wait this out for years on end. We won't be like our friend who strung her long term girlfriend on for 10 years waiting for marriage (who by the way left him for good).

However for the most part I find these are stalling tactics. There are many reasons I've expressed to him why marriage is important to me. I want to share the same last name as my son, which I freely gave right of way to my partner because carrying on the family name was important to him. I want the spiritually binding aspect to the ceremony, not in a traditional sense, but in a sentimental sense. I want the security of being his wife and almost feel insulted when he sometimes refers to me as his girlfriend (most of the time he introduces me as his partner). I live in NZ, so de facto relationships have the same rights as civil unions and marriages.

I've expressed all of this to him yesterday. He seems to be understanding. He said he would propose within the year but said it would still feel premature to him, he's waiting for that moment to click where he decides to take me out to a special location and get down on one knee kind of thing. I told him I don't believe he'll ever have that click because I've given him everything a wife would give without the hassle of paper work already. As in he is having his cake and eating it too, and I've just so freely allowed that to happen.

Any advice or insight into this matter?

How long??

by HappyOrangeDecor917 @ wedding planning discussion forums

Hello everyone,

This is my first post so please be gentle with me and excuse me if I have posted this in the wrong place!

I would like to ask how long you had been with your partner before you were engaged?

 A little background…

In all fairness I should not be on this forum as I am not planning a wedding as I am not engaged! I have been with my partner for nearly 5 years and I made it clear to him when we first started going out that I would like marriage and children in the future. He agreed and confirm that was his desire for the future also. However, nearly 5 years later nothing! About a year and a half ago we had a proper conversation again about it and he confirmed that marriage was still one of his core values and he saw himself doing the whole marriage and kids with me.

I appreciate there is no set rule as each couple is different, therefore I would like to know how long you with your fiancé(e) before you were engaged? Was it a surprise? Had it been discussed previously? etc

I am just a little frustrated that it hasn’t happened yet and I am starting to doubt his feelings for me and whether his all talk and no action.

These are feelings I have kept to myself as I don’t want him to feel I am nagging or pressuring him.

What would you do in my position? (if anything)

I would appreciate any advice that could be given

 Thank you

11 best mineral foundations

11 best mineral foundations

The Independent

Since American brand bareMinerals first entered the cosmetic-consciousness on daytime telly infomercials, hoards of women have been taking to the internet and effusing to friends and family, sharing their stories of “conversion”. In theory, mineral foundations are great: natural, non-comedogenic and potentially problem-solving for sensitive or break-out prone skin. But they’re also super-noticeable when they’re wrong: cakey, drying and accentuating pores, fine lines and flakey patches – and downright messy to apply.

Mixed Race, Curly Hair Stylists - where are they?!

by MixedRaceCurlyHairHelp @ wedding planning discussion forums

Hey everyone. Really hoping you can help!

I'm mixed race with naturally curly hair. I'm finding when I look at portfolios that bridal stylists seem to fall into two camps: white people, and black people. My hair is unfortunately not like the curls white women can have, but also not afro/really tight curls.

I've gone to stylists in the past who have really messed up my hair in the past because they've not known how to treat it (e.g.tried to brush it dry which turns it into a frizzy mess), and as you can imagine I really don't want that on the day!

I've emailed various stylists and the common response seems to be "our stylist has loads of experience with mixed race/black women, but no photo evidence..." which is getting quite tiring, so I thought I'd come on here and see if anyone knows of anyone who they can recommend, please! So far I've only found 2 people, one who's way more expensive than anyone else I've looked at, so it would be nice to have some options. :)

Thanks so much in advance and hope I can help out with other questions on the forums in return at some point! P.s. getting married in Surrey, so would need someone in Surrey/Hampshire/Sussex/London/Berkshire

MH drama

Looking for support / advice / feeling incredibly vulnerable and hurt.

I asked my sister to be my Chief bridesmaid / matron of honor as i was her chief bridesmaid at her wedding.
She's been with me to see my dress and also been involved with flower arranging and button holes but has recently accused me of deliberately not including her.

Back story:
Over a month ago i contacted my bridesmaids (4) to ask when they would be available to go bridesmaid dress shopping this summer.
Two of my three friends replied with a couple of possible dates, one of my friends did not and neither did my sister.
I was told, by my sister, that i would need to give her some dates.

So i picked two weekends and asked of everyone is available? She replied that she was not available "that weekend." As we had already gotten my sisters dress; i replied that that wasn't a problem and that she didn't need to come if she couldn't make it.
To which she replies that it's short notice, she has another event and she wants to be involved. to which i ask which of the two weekends offered was she not available?
No reply

i try again to get an idea as to my sisters availability by offering more dates and asking all the bridesmaids to reply with a selection of dates that they are available. I even created a colour coded table so that everyone could see peoples availability.
Still no response from my sister.
However one of my bridesmaid is offered a job abroad and asks if she we can try and get her dress this weekend (just gone) as she won't be in the UK and wants to get it sorted. To which i reply, not a problem. i explain to my sister why we need to go shopping sooner that August, as that was the only suggestion she made.
My other two friends come down for social reasons, with no intention of buying their dresses, as we did not have the money for all three.

I did not tell my sister of the date change, as based on her previous lack of correspondence; i believed she wasn't available and didn't want to hassle her.

Big surprise on Saturday, My bridesmaids find dresses that they love and my dad offers to pay for the dresses for the girls, the shop even dropped the price from £375 per dress to £200 per dress; if we bought all three that day.

Of course i think this is amazing and i'm so grateful and overwhelmed and there's tears and gratitude and we have an amazing time. Only when i get home after dropping one of my bridesmaid back at the train station. I get a phone call from my mum, saying that my sister has called her up and accused me of deliberately excluding her.

I then phone my sister but she doesn't answer, so i leave a voicemail explaining what happened, that i genuinely believed she wasn't available; and that getting all three rather than one was just good fortune. That i never meant it to seem as though i was excluding her.

By this point i'm in tears and she phones back on my home phone, i repeat again that i didn't mean it to seem like that, but she cuts across me saying but that's how she feels. i try to explain but she keeps cutting across me, to the point where i get so frustrated that i scream, "how dare you! let me finish, stop interrupting me, you always do this!"

At which point she hangs up the phone (now i acknowledge i shouldn't have lost my temper, but she was accusing me of deliberately excluding her, which is unfair, as even the wedding venue was picked with her needs in mind.)
She then sends me two texts, the first telling me never to speak to her like that again (then speaks to me in a similar manner - which is normal for her but grossly hypocritical). And then to tell me that i'd said it was next weekend and that was the weekend she wasn't available, not this one just gone, and that she could have done the Saturday.

I'm so angry, hurt and frustrated, if she didn't tell me her availability, how am i supposed to know?

Should i have phoned her at every step, just to make sure she was ok with my decision?

I'm so angry and feel like i did everything i could to accommodate as many people as possible. Am i over reacting?
I'd be grateful for any advice, i feel so sick right now and i haven't slept properly since.

Work friends... okay to invite some to all day and some just to night?

by HappyGreenConfetti964 @ wedding planning discussion forums

Hi all

Don't get married until July but try to finalise my wedding guest list!

I have 6 spaces left for day guests, however have 8 work friends I want to invite (well actually another 13 but the other 5 memebers of staff will only have been with us for a year (I work in a school) so have drawn the line at only inviting staff from the last academic year), so what do I do? The only people I could possibly swap to being just night time only are my great aunt and uncle but they have to travel a couple of hours (and act like they're in their 80s rather than early and mid 60s!) so doubt they would come to just the evening. Any ideas what I should? I don't want to leave out any work friends but no idea what to do! Shall I just invite all 8 as well as my great aunt and uncle and hope for the best?

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Stationery - Making vs buying

by RomanticGreenConfetti835 @ wedding planning discussion forums

Hi all

I've been looking at the cost of wedding stationery and unsurprisingly, much like everything else wedding related, it's astronomical for what I like.

i was wondering if anyone else is making / has made their own stationery and if it's worth it?  Can you save a significant amount of money taking into account that you have to buy all the supplies in advance? Is the time spent doing it worth the hassle?

im not particularly arty but I can manage card, lace and ribbon - what are your thoughts?

Is IVF the best ART treatment for Infertility?

by SunnyOrangeConfetti891 @ Off Topic Posts

In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) is one of the various assisted reproductive technologies provided in infertility centres. The procedure involves stimulating a woman’s ovaries to produce viable eggs for fertilization after which the eggs are retrieved and combined with the partner’s or donated sperms in the laboratory.

IVF has the highest success rate, but other treatments like ICSI and IUI are also infertility solutions for couples. It is only a fertility specialist’s expertise that will help a couple select the best infertility treatment.

In some cases, a couple only requires fertility drugs to conceive naturally or may require artificial insemination (IUI) for conception. Throughout the fertility treatments, a woman is under an expert’s surveillance with the fact that hyperstimulation has associated risks.

A couple should seek treatment from an advanced IVF centre in India to reduce the chances of failed procedures, and complications.

IUI and ICSI are mostly provided to a selected number of couples after a systematic examination and considerations.

Are you throwing your bouquet?

by SunnyGoldHair813 @ wedding planning discussion forums

Just as the title says really, are you throwing your bouqet at your wedding? If so, when?

The past couple of weddings I've been to they haven't done this, and I'm not sure if they forgot or if they just didn't plan on doing it.

Only thing putting me off is I kind of want to keep my bouquet for as long as possible, plus I don't want it getting ruined when I throw it. Could I throw one of the bridesmaid's bouquets? (One BM is my sister and I know she wont mind me asking to do this).

Do you need to serve evening food if you have a 3 course meal plus wedding cake?

by SunnyGoldCakes798 @ wedding planning discussion forums

We are looking at getting married from around 3pm though haven't set a time (or indeed booked a venue, though we have one in mind, but want to get an overall idea of total budget before committing).

If we are serving a three course meal plus wedding cake at say 4 or 5pm, should we also be serving food later on in the evening via the caterers?

Some of the quotes I have received, suggest either bacon rolls or fish and chips in cones at £7.50 per person.  All guest would be coming to the whole event (ceremony, breakfast, evening reception.

Do we need to provide evening food too? Could we buy platters of sandwhiches, mini sausage rolls from say M&S and put those out around 9pm for guests to help themselves with some paper plates?

Thanks

MH drama

by HappyIvoryFlowers @ Off Topic Posts

All the reasons you shouldn’t eat at your desk

by Taryn Davies @ The Fuss

It’s really easy to eat your lunch at your desk when you’re working to tight schedules and have a to-do list longer than your arm, in fact new research by Grace Say Aloe has revealed that 40% of office workers typically opt for ‘al desco dining’, but here’s why you really shouldn’t. Multi-tasking your way through lunch by trying to eat whilst taking phone calls and typing emails may feel like the best way to get through everything at once. But according to top food psychologist, Dr Christy Fergusson, you should avoid eating lunch at your desk at all costs.

Selfish not to invite distant relatives and family friends?

by SunnyGreenHair729 @ wedding planning discussion forums

Hi Everyone,

Last night I was speaking about wedding plans and ended up having an argument with my dad over who I invited to my wedding. I have always wanted to get married abroad in a small intimate wedding and my OH feels the same. A few years ago there was large fall out with one side of the family and I hardly know my other side so my OH and I agreed (he doesn't have extended family) that we just wanted to invite immediate family (parents and siblings) and very close friends. My dad has now said that it's selfish of me to do so and I have to invite family and the various family friends who have invited my parents to their children's weddings. When I said it was our day and I just wanted to have a day of fun with my friends my dad said it wasn't my day, it was the families and that chances are we wouldn't even be friends with the friends we invite to our wedding whist family is forever (except we don't speak to half of them!). My parents aren't contributing to the wedding and I'm very close to them so don't want to upset them but I have genuine anxiety now about having to face a room full of people I hardly know/hate me and the thought that the one day I've always dreamed of will not be anything I want is heartbreaking. I'm genuinely now considering just getting married in the registry office and not telling anyone. Am I in the wrong to not want these people there? Do I risk upsetting my parents by doing what I want? They say they will support my decisions but I know my dad will be 'disappointed' and end up swaying me out of guilt.
